“Damn, that omelet was the best I’ve ever tasted.” Tanner soaks up the leftover juices and egg with the toast and shovels it into his mouth.

“Agreed. Best breakfast I’ve had in a while.” Becky had come out and personally served us our breakfast when we arrived. Stopping at Becky’s Diner was to kill two birds with one stone. Eat and find out any info we could on the Alpha Devils MC.

Being situated so close to their club, we predicted there would be regulars and looking at the patrons, we guessed correctly.

Four huge males covered in tats and muscles are bound to draw attention. And we did. The two waitresses offered us menus, drinks and silently anything else we wanted. Tanner was eager to take them up, but Slate put a stop to it. It didn’t stop them from ogling us from afar. We were here for a job and out as soon as it was done.

Two men in leather cuts with the Alpha Devils on it walked in minutes after we sat down. Nodding their heads in our direction, we acknowledged them. We had piqued their interest, but we all kept our distance.

Thirty minutes later, four more arrive on loud bikes interrupting the peace and quiet.

An older guy, silver flecks through his darkened hair and graying beard, over six feet tall and solid for his fifty-plus years age, wearing a President leather cut strolls in first commanding attention. Two of the other men enter with blue eyes that scan every fucking inch of this diner. A hand runs through long black hair on the man who obviously works out a huge amount casting his eyes in our direction. The man wearing the VP cut who is slightly smaller than the other with dirty brown messed up hair holds the door open for the fourth guy who is covered in tats, wears a beard and a bandana over his dark hair.

A slight nod again and we continue with our pretense.

“Will there be fall out from Liza, T?” Our eyes stayed on our group, but we kept an ear out for any conversation from the bikers that would interest us. Little did they know, they only had a short time to live.

“That woman is a fucking polar bear. Her appearance is beautiful, as though she wouldn’t hurt a fly. But hell, underneath that exterior is a predator. A treacherous, cold and hard bitch who isn’t easily fooled.”

The MC guys were lapping up the attention of the waitresses. They looked very comfortable with each other.

“Did she understand?” Slate uses a toothpick to get something out of his teeth.

“I laid it out for her,” Ocean explains. “Her men were on our turf, demanding and carrying. All of which was inexcusable.”

“Then I showed her, Tanner style.”

Shaking our heads, we laugh.

“She understood by the end of our night what would happen to her next if it happened again.” Tanner smirks. “It’s about time she gave us the respect we deserve. No more chances. I’ve had enough
